Sales Manager (Sales)
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with sales team to meet monthly and annual sales goals and activity quotas.Drive sales goals aligned with membership and programs at designated branches.Drive sales goals across product and services for assigned branches and the Y of the North as a whole.Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings based on the locations activities and member traffic for the times and days that are conducive to sales.Lead growth initiatives/events in the communities.Expand outreach prospecting of potential new members.Attend all required meetings/trainings and actively engage cross sharing with fellow teammates and leadership.Support Y of the North strategic initiatives.Build strong relationships with stakeholders that include community leaders, program leaders, and team members of the supported branches as well as the collective sales team and product leaders.Conduct tours for potential new members using a consultative sales approach, determining needs and offering solutions.Partner with the Sales Product Director on prospect and lead generation for new members, including outbound calling and following up on referrals.Proactively drive sales across all programs and services in a responsive manner responding to all sales opportunities.Demonstrate proficient use of sales system by accurate data entry and lead follow-up.Provide a high level of customer service to current and potential members.Commit to to customer service by building and sustaining relationships keeping the YMCA at the forefront for our members.
Relationships:
This position reports to the the Branch leaders with a dotted line to the Regional Sales Director. The incumbent interacts regularly with new and prospective members, Community Leaders, Membership Services, Product Executives and other members of the Sales Team.
Qualifications:
Required
High School diploma or GED.Minimum two (2) years of sales or sales related experience.Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.Highly responsive, organized and multi-task.Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and to deal with pressure in meeting sales goalsExcellent customer service skills
Preferred:
Bachelors degree in business, sales, marketing, or communications.Proven success in a sales position.Ideal candidate will reside within reasonable distance to the branch location the role supports to support understanding community needs.Ideal candidate will be basic life support, oxygen and first aid certified.
Work Conditions:
Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.Ability to conduct branch tours with excitement and passion.Perform all physical aspects of the position, including moving around, standing, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.Ability to respond to situations in a calm and efficient manner.Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
