General Counsel, Combined Insurance (Finance)
Combined Insurance, a Chubb Group company, is a leading provider of group workplace supplemental accident, disability, health and life insurance products ("Combined"). The General Counsel, Combined Insurance is responsible for providing legal and compliance support for Combined Insurance. The General Counsel will function as a trusted legal advisor to the senior management team of Combined and manage an experienced and talented team of legal and compliance professionals that support the business. The position focuses on providing timely, efficient, knowledgeable, and practical counsel while appropriately balancing compliance and business goals.
This role operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in our Chicago, IL office. Other Chubb office locations may be considered.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Combined leadership team, the General Counsel will provide business and legal advice and perspectives on a wide range of strategic, tactical and operational issues including insurance regulatory matters; compliance; corporate law; corporate governance; labor and employment matters; litigation; marketing; and technology initiatives.
The position will report to the President of Combined Insurance with direct matrix reporting to the North America General Counsel of Chubb Insurance. The General Counsel will manage a team of approximately 35 managers and employees. Extensive coordination with Chubb Group Global and North America Legal and Compliance teams is required.
