Biomedical Engineer II (Finance)
A Day in the Life
Engineer the Extraordinary as an Engineer Level II on the Sensing, Infusion & Advanced Technology team within Medtronic Diabetes. As an individual contributor, you will provide engineering support to advance existing sensor technology or introduce new innovations. You will participate in the ideation, design, development, clinical testing, and regulatory submissions of micro-fabricated electrochemical glucose and/or multi-analyte bio-sensors for next-generation diabetes management products.
This role involves contributing to sensor research, development, and integration programs by formulating, delivering, and managing assigned projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders and technical experts to achieve desired results, leveraging a solid understanding of the product development process. Responsibilities include assisting in the research and development of sensor chemistry, electrodes, algorithms, manufacturing processes, sterilization, and conducting in-vivo feasibility studies to meet patient and business needs. Additionally, you will support the evaluation of new sensor designs and their assessment through clinical studies. You may also mentor colleagues or direct the work of lower-level professionals.
This is an in-person full-time position and may require travel less than 10% of the time.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other science related field and 2+ years R&D, product development, or program/project engineering experience.
OR
Advanced Degree in Engineering or other science related field with no experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$82,400.00 - $123,600.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
