Role/ Department: Learning and Development Curriculum Manager /Talent Management and Learning and Development
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning and Development Curriculum Manager to design, implement and oversee HR training curriculums and programs that address global training needs and high-priority business objectives. The successful candidate will bring expertise in global learning strategies, a passion for engaging adult learners, and a proven ability to create impactful programs that meet diverse needs.
The HR Learning and Development (L&D) team empowers employees at all stages of their careers through thoughtfully designed programs that foster professional growth. The role plays a critical part in delivering global programs that drive skill application, career advancement, and measurable success for employees and the organization.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Curriculum Development: Create and implement comprehensive learning programs tailored to global audiences, with a focus on mid and senior level professionals across diverse geographies. Programs are impactful, scalable, and sustainable and drive measurable improvements in employee performance and business outcomes.
• Instructional Design: Utilize advanced instructional design principles and contribute expertise to develop and deliver learning solutions that address complex skill gaps.
• Program Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic oversight for learning programs, including defining vision, purpose, selection process, developmental programming, budget management, and vendor selection criteria.
• Learning Innovation: Design curriculums that emphasize learning engagement, skill application, and measurable outcomes through innovative methods and diverse training modalities.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with key stakeholders, learning leaders and cross-functional teams to identify learning needs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and the professional growth of all team members.
• Industry Expertise: Leverage knowledge of the financial services industry and consulting experience to create impactful, relevant learning experiences.
Skills/ Qualifications:
• Experience: 12-15+ years of relevant learning and development experience, including expertise in the financial service environment.
• Curriculum Development Expertise: Proficiency in assessment strategies, instructional design, curriculum creation and application of workforce metrics to evaluate program success.
• Program and Project Management: Expert level capability to manage multiple complex programs and projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.
• Strategic Execution: Ability to translate broad strategic goals into tactical plans that deliver improvements and measurable results.
• Presentation and Facilitation Skills: Exceptional skills in delivering impactful presentation and facilitating engaging learning sessions for diverse audiences.
• Consulting and Influencing: Strong consulting skills with the ability to assess client needs, influence stakeholders, and resolve conflicts effectively through negotiation and collaboration.
• Problem-Solving: Innovative thinker capable of addressing complex challenges and delivering solutions under time and resource constraints.
• Organizational Development Knowledge: Deep understanding of organization development and adult learning principles to enhance program effectiveness.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-Learning tools and learning platform technologies. Ability to leverage a variety of technology tools as part of learning solutions.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Budget and Vendor Management: Experience in budgeting and forecasting to optimize program delivery and skills in sourcing, evaluating and managing external vendors to ensure high-quality services are delivered.
• Educational Background: BA/BS in a relevant field (required); MA/MS in a related discipline (preferred).
Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.
Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
