Mgr - Financial Planning & Analysis (Finance)
Mgr - Financial Planning and Analysis coordinates and consults all financial reporting, planning and analysis and assists the Industrial Technologies business segment with identifying financial system enhancement opportunities related to management reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages the day-to-day administration of key global financial systems.
• Acts as a liaison between the Finance and Industrial Technologies business function, helps to transform business needs into practical solutions.
• Leads and assists with projects to improve financial reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Establishes policies and governance procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information systems.
• Establishes and manages change control processes to ensure system modifications and data maintenance routines are properly controlled.
• Provides ongoing support (including training) and issue resolution to end-users.
• Assists with the design and development of new reports and system enhancements, working closely with key users.
• Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial reporting data hierarchies to align with management's reporting requirements.
• Identifies and assists with the implementation of process and system improvements.
• Supports the integration of newly-acquired businesses, and participates in other special projects as assigned.
• Manages company-wide strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Oversees strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for all corporate functions.
• Evaluates financial justification for appropriation requests as well as financial support for acquisitions.
• Supports the development and enhancement of financial systems.
• Develops and distributes monthly management reports to review and analyze business performance.
• Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred
• 5+ years progressive financial planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in a leadership role
• Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
