Painter - SIGN ON BONUS (Manufacturing)
As a Painter, you will prepare a variety of components to enable a quality paint finish and apply paint finish and decals per work instructions to fulfill quality initiatives and customer expectations. You will be expected to support all company programs such as Lean, 5S, TPR, etc.

SIGN ON BONUS:
The Company will also pay you a $500.00 signing bonus subject to tax withholdings after the successful completion of ninety (90) days of continuous service and another $500.00 signing bonus after six (6) months continuous service, for a total sign on bonus of $1000.00.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- May be required to hand blast and operate an 8–12 wheel roto blaster.
- Use of wet & dry film thickness gauges.
- Understand and follow hazard waste barrel guidelines.
- Operate orbital sander to prepare units, parts and/or any sub-straight material prior to finish.
- Prepare units and parts by using masking tape, caps, plugs, plastic, etc. when needed to protect areas from coming in contact with paint.
- Use forklifts to load and unload parts carts or monorail systems.
- Ensure all parts and units are free and clean of grease, oil and/or any other containment that may jeopardize paint integrity.
- Manually mix finishes to the correct ratio prior to application.
- Detect and report defective materials per work instructions.
- Operate airless spray, HVLP, air assisted spray and/or electro-static spray equipment to apply base, protective and/or finished coats.
- Maintain cleanliness on all spray related equipment.
- Apply any required decals to completed units per decal installation drawings.
- Complete SPC charts and/or titration of washers daily.
- Other duties as determined by supervision.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree required.
- Must be able to work second shift after training period
- Considerable skill required in the use of various types of paint to obtain automotive standard finishes.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, compute rates, ratios and percentages.
- Must be able to create/interpret various data collection tools.
- Must have good communication skills and pay attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision and be able to work with others in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain Company certification to operate overhead cranes, jib hoists, and industrial forklift.
- Must follow all established safety rules and procedures.

- This position is located on the production shop floor, in multiple buildings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Incumbent will work in a typical paint environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil, petroleum products, etc.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
