Inventory Planning Coordinator (Administrative)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate, release, maintain, and expedite production orders in a manner that will best support assembly line schedule dates as well as satisfying service parts demand requirements. Track production progress on released orders and communicate all issues, both current and potential future, that will have a significant impact on the plant scheduling of operations. Communicate priorities to the production departments. Work closely with team leads and material handlers to ensure that urgent items are expedited through the system and delivered to the proper end user. Monitor the status of released work orders and ensure that work orders get closed in a timely manner upon completion of the work. Assist with Kanban and label creation as needed.
Evaluate item planning data in GP on a regular basis, ensuring that all planning-related parameters (planner code, order policy, safety stock, etc.) are accurately maintained. Analyze inventories to maintain lowest possible inventory level while still meeting demand requirements, identify slow-moving and obsolete items and recommend appropriate disposition. Analyze ECN's (Engineering Change Notices) and take necessary corrective actions, such as scrapping or reworking old parts, making sure open work orders have latest drawing, etc. Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects that may be required from time to time.
Position Requirements:
Associates preferred, High school diploma or equivalent required. Three years related experience Production Planning and Inventory Control techniques highly desired. Willing to develop the right candidate. Knowledge of KANBAN systems, BOM usage, BOM structures, and where-used functionality a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Wage/Salary: This is an hourly position, typically working 9-10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with occasional weekends. DOE
