Prudential Select Strategies LLC (PSS), a registered investment adviser, is a unit of the Global Chief Investment Office, which conducts asset and liability management and portfolio construction for all of Prudential's domestic and international business operations. PSS is responsible for managing over $15.0 billion in assets, comprised of private equity, hedge funds, real estate and other investments in alternative credit and direct lending strategies.
PSS is seeking an investment professional to join its Private Equity team, who will support asset manager selection, due diligence and monitoring investments in buyout, growth, venture, mezzanine and distressed funds, as well as selective co-investments on behalf of the insurance general accounts. In this role, the candidate will support both internal and external asset manager relationships.
The candidate will be a key member of the Private Equity team which supports Prudential's general account investment strategy.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
• Support portfolio managers in all aspects of the investment sourcing, underwriting and diligence process for primary fund investments and co-investments;
• Perform ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of investments as well as the aggregate portfolio;
• Work with operations, accounting, tax and legal departments as part of the investment due diligence and execution process;
• Conduct market, industry and strategy research and be informed about current and developing sector trends as well as support related analytical projects;
• Work with portfolio managers to optimize Prudential's private equity portfolio.
• 6+ years of relevant investment experience; diligence and execute private equity funds and co-investments, leveraged finance/banking, credit underwriting required
• Asset manager selection and due diligence experience preferred
• Strong analytical and modeling skills
• Strong interpersonal, relationship management, verbal, written communication skills
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• MBA or equivalent degree and/or CFA a plus
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $165,000 to $195,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
