Loan Processing Representative, Loan - Admin/Proc/Credit (Administrative)
Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience: A minimum of six (6) months of data entry experience OR related administrative experience is required. An Associate's degree in finance or related field may be substituted for experience.
General Responsibilities
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan processing function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information; assisting the immediate supervisor with administrative tasks to support department operations.
Essential Duties
1. Performs a variety of duties to support the loan processing function as follows:
a. Effectively manages a constant pipeline of consumer loans and basic commercial loans; performs necessary tasks to clear the queue; reports inconsistencies in the information provided.
b. Originates consumer loan settlement packages to include the necessary legal documents that comply with Company policy and regulations; ensures that all documents are organized and prepared accurately; communicates any necessary corrections.
c. Utilizes e-sign software to create and modify loan packages for electronic signing and auto delivery to the loan imaging system.
d. Interfaces loan data from the platform system to the Company's host system.
e. Add customers to the Company's core system, research existing customer and loan information and book new loans to the system.
f. Provides loan support to lenders and staff, which consists of fielding questions as they relate to policy, procedure, structuring, and software.
2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
3. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Company's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Company personnel.
6. Responds to inquiries relating to their area, or to requests from other Company personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
7. Assists the immediate supervisor with various administrative tasks to support department operations, as directed; may also be assigned special projects.
Ancillary Duties
1. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
