Associate Designer (Finance)

We are looking for an Associate Designer to contribute to the Design & Product Management team for various product categories from conception to production. In addition, they support daily departmental operations and ensure monthly KPIs are met. The ideal candidate is eager & adaptable with a can-do attitude. They're not afraid to jump into projects and collaborate with various teams throughout the organization.
The Associate Designer will report to the Director of Design while working closely with the Senior Designer, Senior Technical Designer & Product Management team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Artwork creation for customer request
- Lab dip approvals
- Sample and artwork reviews
- Measure samples that come in various production stages
- Responsible for tasking business partners in PLM and tracking KPIs
- Support the execution of departmental objectives and initiatives
- Enhance collaboration and communication across different business functions
- Meet monthly KPIs to ensure timely execution of tech packs
- Review product specifications in PLM for consistency of information and data. Work with cross-functional business partners to rectify information as needed
- Collaborate on new product development projects, including ideation, design board creation, pattern and print designs
- Review competitor product samples against current STC product assortment, identifying differences in features and construction
- Log sample comparisons in competitive product database to inform total product line strategy and development projects
- Assist in product development process, including sampling prototyping correction and final confirmation in product specifications
Qualifications include:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in graphic design, apparel design, or related field experience
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite as well as PLM or equivalent
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Proficient in design principles and aesthetics
- Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
- A willing problem-solver who is determined to work together and find solutions
