Software Engineer-Test/Verification/Validation (Finance)
Position Description:
Software Engineer- Test/Verification/Validation for Medtronic, Inc. located at its facility in Mounds View, MN. Responsible for the design and implementation of software and web-based applications. Develop tests for custom medical device applications by creating test designs, analysis, test implementation and procedures for the verification of software requirements, documenting bugs, test case coordination. Responsible for Functional testing to include breaking down software requirement specifications for test plans. Utilize Software development with Test Automation and Frameworks. Leverage product software applications to include VB (Visual Basic) Script, SQL and Java. Responsible for Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with models to include Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM) and Software Testing Life Cycles (STLC). Responsible for various requirements gathering documentation, testing and maintenance of web or mobile application solutions. Utilize front end and back-end web testing on Windows, Android, Linux or IOS operating systems. Leverage Integrate Test Automation into Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process using DevOps Tool(s). Utilize Application Programming Interface (API) and Integration Test Development for third party/proprietary applications or tools. *Multiple positions available. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or closely related IT or engineering field. Employer will accept any foreign Bachelor degree program of at least 3years. Must have five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Automation and Performance Engineer, Software Test Engineer or related. Requires five (5) years post Bachelors' experience with each of the following: Functional testing to include breaking down software requirement specifications for test plans; Software development with Test Automation and Frameworks; Product software applications to include VB (Visual Basic) Script, SQL and Java; SDLC with models to include Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM) and STLC; Requirements gathering documentation, testing and maintenance of web or mobile application solutions; Front end and back-end web testing on Windows, Android, Linux or IOS operating systems; Integrate Test Automation into CI/CD process using DevOps Tool(s); API and Integration Test Development for third party/proprietary applications or tools.
Alternate Qualifications: Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or closely related IT or engineering field. The position reports to Medtronic, Inc., 8200 Coral Sea Street NE, Mounds View, MN 55112.
Salary: $153,400.00 to $175,200.00 per year
