Entry-level Bridge Engineer (Transportation)

Responsibilities:

Performing analysis and design of bridge elements
Preparing cohesive and organized structural calculations
Detailing and drafting of structural elements
Assist with geometric layout and quantity development
Developing task deliverables for review by a Senior Engineer
Performing tasks according to assigned schedule and budget
Working independently under the guidance of a Senior Engineer
Provide direction for team members as needed
Participate in bridge inspections, perform load rating calculations, and assist with report writing

Qualifications:

0-5 years of bridge engineering design experience
B.S. in Civil Engineering degree is required, M.S. is preferred
Engineer-in-Training Certification preferred, with desire to obtain PE licensure
Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Basic knowledge of general purpose structural analysis programs
Basic knowledge of computer aided drafting programs
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent organizational skills
Positive attitude and good work ethic with desire to work in a collaborative environment
