Director of IT (Healthcare)
Position Summary
The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring its smooth operation. This role will involve managing on-premise data center, cloud infrastructure, network administration, server administration, storage administration, phone system, security, and supporting the Enterprise Resource Planning system (cloud hosted). The Director of IT will also be responsible for desktop support, disaster recovery planning, and setting service level agreements across various infrastructure functions.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management:
Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers, including physical and virtual servers.Oversee network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.Implement and maintain data storage solutions, such as NAS and SAN systems.Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems, including implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures.Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
ERP and CRM Systems:
Manage and support ERP (Syteline) and CRM (Infor) systems, including configuration, customization, and upgrades.Work with business users to identify and implement system improvements.Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
Hosted Applications:
Manage and support hosted applications, such as ERP, HRIS, and other cloud-based solutions.Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and implement upgrades.
Desktop Support:
Oversee desktop support services, including hardware and software troubleshooting.Manage user accounts and permissions.Provide technical support to end-users.
Team Management:
Lead and manage the IT team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.Assign tasks and projects to team members.Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Project Management:
Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, such as system upgrades, network expansions, and security initiatives.Manage project timelines and budgets.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.Negotiate contracts and service level agreements.
Compliance and Security:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards, such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI DSS.Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
