Corporate Communications Intern (Finance)
The Communications intern joins a Corporate Communications team focused on enhancing the Worthington Steel brand for internal and external stakeholders.
This position assists in the areas of employee engagement
research
content development
social media and media relations. The ideal candidate has excellent writing and communication skills who can easily juggle multiple assignments at once and can effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
The Communications intern participates in our company-wide Summer Internship Program that helps interns develop professional skills through on-the-job experience. During this 12-week program
interns will complete a business-driven project. Upon graduation
each intern will present their project to their manager
mentors and members of senior leadership.
The Communications intern will spend the majority of their time receiving on-the-job experience and classroom learning. Classes will feature topics from general business etiquette
to resume writing
interviewing and presenting with confidence.
In keeping with Our Philosophy
the program will also feature a community service component.
Interns are based at our company headquarters in Columbus
Ohio
where they will maximize their experience by working in the office at minimum three days per week. Worthington Steel is not responsible for providing supplemental housing for students.
