The Retail Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and supporting branch operations. This role requires a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. The Retail Specialist will also assist customers with online account opening and banking questions and handle verifications of deposit and other inquiries. The Retail Specialist will work closely with the Deposit Operations team and other bank departments to ensure compliance and quality control. 

Responsibilities 

• Create new accounts in the core system and ensure that all customer information and documentation are accurate and complete 

• Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other items in a timely and efficient manner, following bank policies and procedures 

• Process returned mail and administer customer's change of address requests, updating the core system and notifying the appropriate parties 

• Review and respond to deposit customer service inquiries via phone, email, or chat, resolving issues and providing information as needed 

• Assist customers with online account opening and online banking questions, guiding them through the process and troubleshooting any problems 

• Provide superior customer service to branch and digital customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty 

• Back up banker at all New Orleans Metro Region based branches, traveling as needed to support branch operations and customer needs 

• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor, such as assisting with audits, reports, or special projects 

Skills and Qualifications 

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

• Previous bank teller experience preferred 

• Strong customer service and attention to detail skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and core banking systems 

• Willingness to travel 40% to support all branches within the New Orleans Metro Region
