Job Description:
Commission Validation Start-up (CVS) Project Lead - Reno, NV Onsite
The CVS Project Lead is a key technical resource for the site and supports the planning, coordination, and execution of site and capital projects in terms of development, launch execution, and post launch evaluation. The CVS lead will partner with the leadership to supervise all commissioning, validation, and start-up activities for projects across the site. The Project lead is also responsible for providing the technical expertise to the site, including advanced problem-solving analysis and resolution, data tracking to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- This role will require travel to provide support for Factory Acceptance Testing (Domestic & International)
- This role may require travel to provide regional support to other sites dependent upon project workload.
What are we looking for?
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience (3-5 years in manufacturing)
- Ability to travel 10% - 20% of the time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong understanding of factory processes & equipment

- Strong analytical, communication, mechanical and electrical skills
- Strong written (computer) and verbal communication skills
- Ability to transfer knowledge and training experiences to others.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise in the areas.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Assist in training of equipment and SOP standards documentation.
- Work as part of the CVS team to ensure equipment and processes perform as designed.
- Assist in the creation of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for all equipment in areas as assigned.
- Support all CVS activities including project launch execution and post launch evaluation.
- Coordinate commissioning, validation, and start-up for all major and small minor projects at the site
- Communicate with plant management to ensure appropriate resources are in place.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Transfer equipment knowledge and operation through Factory directed training or personal hands-on training.
- Create detailed work instructions for support of new projects.
- Set up and chair meetings related to CVS activities and Project information (as needed)
- Resolve cross functional issues and agree on actions, follow up on actions, define and report on milestones.
- Although not directly responsible for the CVS budget, the Lead must make decisions based on budgeted amounts and understand its trade-offs.
- Support large number of FATs as needed for projects.
- Support overall MSE programs for the site including MSE training and implementation of MSE programs.
