Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water Wastewater Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in Charlotte, NC! We offer a flexible hybrid work culture with a balance between remote and in-office work.
The candidate in this role will provide technical expertise and leadership to our team of highly skilled engineers, while leading tasks/projects simultaneously and applying technical knowledge and expertise to develop the team's overall capabilities. Projects will include drinking water and/or wastewater treatment facilities engineering, investigations, studies, analyses, designs, and construction administration services.
Role accountabilities:
As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer you will manage and lead projects/tasks and clients in the planning, design and construction of drinking water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Other responsibilities include:
Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff. Coordinate and manage the execution of projects with other disciplines, office personnel, and management consultants. Develop planning and design projects from inception to completion. Prepare construction packages, including all deliverables, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water systems for clients.
Create cost estimates and project schedules, ensuring design tasks are completed within budget and on schedule. Oversee detailed engineering calculations, analysis, and the use of design software to solve complex challenges. Develop high-quality deliverables for clients, including technical memoranda, reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with national communities of practice and subject matter experts. Work directly with clients to determine their needs, deliver solutions, and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients. Some travel may be required to conduct project site visits, attend client meetings, perform safety audits, support general planning purposes, or oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $94,944 - $161,405/year . Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
