Quality Inspector - HF 2nd Shift (Finance)
Job Summary
Perform repetitive and routine work that will support Quality and Continuous Improvement within the Metform Plants. Inspections, checks, tests and sample procedures on units, materials or products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and continued improvement. This position will be 2 nd shift M-F reporting to the Quality Manager.
Job Duties
- Conduct thorough testing and inspection of products and services to validate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Operate and accurately apply precision gauging instruments and inspection tools during quality control processes.
- Ensure all testing and inspection activities adhere to regulatory compliance standards and industry best practices.
- Monitor and maintain inspection equipment, calibrating gauges as needed to ensure accuracy and reliability during testing.
- Procure gaging supplies and equipment as required.
- Ensuring autogages are functioning properly and completing preventive maintenance (PMs) on autogages
- Troubleshooting autogage issues, including electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, or data transfer problems.
- Record, organize, and analyze gage data, preparing comprehensive reports for review by the quality control team or management.
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
- Perform work under direct supervision
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
- Possess a working knowledge of subject matter
- 2 to 4 years of experience
Competencies/ Skills
- Ability to interpret and apply detailed work instructions, technical specifications, and inspection protocols.
- Proficiency in using and calibrating various gauging instruments with precision during inspections
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify quality issues and propose actionable solutions.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards in testing and inspection activities.
