This position is based in our Irvine, California Corporate Headquarters with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
Your role:
Ingram Micro's Global Sourcing function is undergoing a significant transformation, expanding our capabilities, and accelerating value delivery for the organization's Indirect spend. Reporting into Operations places the function at the heart of the action, working with a leadership team that is invested in our success. As a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for leading sourcing activities for within a category team with the goal of realizing significant value for the company. Value is defined as including but not limited to; cost reductions, improved quality of products and services, contributing to our Supplier Diversity and Sustainability objectives and assuring supply continuity. You will be adept at aligning the function's strategies and goals with those of your primary stakeholders, engaging them in robust discussions to differentiate their business needs from wants. You will be expected to develop a keen understanding of the business and how you're spend category supports it. Your perspective will need to be broader than typical of sourcing roles. Leveraging your knowledge and insights you will attain trusted advisor status with your business partners including executives, professionally challenging them, and presenting alternative points of view or courses of action. Motivated by stretch goals and high expectations of yourself, you are a self-motivated sourcing "hunter" while being a team player. Given the significant transformation that the function is undergoing you should be comfortable with ambiguity while maintaining clarity of direction, adapting your approach in a rapidly changing environment while never losing site of your and the stakeholder's goals. You should understand the differences between Indirect and Direct Sourcing and be able to clearly articulate what they are and how that impacts the approach to a category. As an effective change agent, you have a comprehensive understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies and how to use them to construct a meaningful category plan encompassing a 3-5-year time horizon. This role is demanding, requiring the ability to pivot at a moment's notice, while advancing your overall category strategy. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $125,600.00 - $213,500.00 per year.
The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
