SUMMARY: The Business Development Director will lead account management and business growth strategies, identify and secure new business opportunities to increase revenue and market presence. This role requires a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills, an extensive network, and a deep understanding of offshore wind industry trends. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, marketing, and proposals teams to develop and execute business plans that align with Crowley Wind Services' (CWS) goals.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Director, Business Development, your responsibilities include:
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the expert on the company's offshore wind services portfolio, ensuring an in-depth
• understanding of our offerings and their competitive advantages.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders-including
• customers, partners, and industry influencers to drive business growth and strengthen the company's market position.
• Sales & Marketing: Lead the sales efforts for Crowley Wind Services, acting as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Ensure customer feedback and needs are effectively communicated within the company.
• Revenue Generation: Identify, pursue, and secure new revenue streams to support the company's growth objectives.
• RFI/RFP Ownership: Take full ownership of customer requests, including RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests
• for Proposals). Provide strategic recommendations and develop plans that position the company to secure profitability and
• strategically aligned deals.
• Market Research & Opportunity Evaluation: Conduct thorough market research to evaluate new business opportunities,
• including potential joint ventures or partnerships. Identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and areas for business
• expansion.
• Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies to drive business growth.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the marketing, proposal, and operations teams to ensure alignment
• on customer requests and business development initiatives. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or a combination of equivalent post-high school education and experience. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE : 8 to 10 years of sales, commercial or business development experience in the Offshore Wind, Renewable Energy or Maritime industry.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Capable of using these tools for data analysis, communication, and documentation effectively.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with offshore wind, vessels, and marine industries is highly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The role is situated in a standard office environment, characterized by minimal exposure to excessive noise, dust, or extreme temperatures. Employees will primarily engage in extended use of computer equipment, including typing on a keyboard and viewing a monitor, which may require prolonged periods of sitting.
