Lonza Tampa, is looking to hire a Manager of Manufacturing to manage the daily activities of Manufacturing Team(s). This leadership role ensures that all cGMP Manufacturing Equipment is validated, and the cGMP batch records are executed in a compliant fashion. This role is closely involved with the technical and regulatory aspects of all assigned projects from inception to completion. In addition, this role is expected to support and lead manufacturing operations in the absence of the Operation Head and as needed.
Key Accountabilities:
Read, write, understand and train the Operations Department on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Coordinate activities in the manufacturing space with other departments
Accountable for the results of a team of professional individual contributors. The subordinate group will generally possess a wide variety of skills and/or knowledge, performing somewhat complex to very complex tasks.
Provides work direction and leadership to ensure that team is compliant with all current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Preparation, execution and follow up for customer audits and regulatory inspections.
Participates in investigations into minor and major root cause, corrective or preventive actions and impact to product safety, identity, strength, quality or purity.
Assists in the development, implementation of process measurement and monitoring system.
Selects, develops and evaluates professional individual contributors to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
Review Master Batch Records and executed batch records.
Hire, train and develop staff
Ensure proper validation of all cGMP manufacturing equipment
Attend all applicable meetings, discussions, etc in support of related projects
Maintain a positive, professional, and confidential relationship with clients
Adhere to all defined Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations and seek clarification whenever Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations are either unknown or unclear
Promptly report identified Safety and Sustainability issues, problems, deficiencies, errors, incidents, and/or opportunities to management and correct where possible
Assist with managing the manufacturing activities within an area of a site to ensure products are manufactured safely, on-schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Assists in the development of departmental plans, including production and/or organizational priorities. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
Monitors production processes and the effective use of resources and equipment.
Key Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a Science field is required.
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a leader or in a management position is required.
Pharma cGMP Experience is required.
