About the Opportunity
With the oversight of the SVP Corporate Controller, this role be responsible for the accounting and internal controls for 2 metal processing facilities and 7 project facilities, overseeing accounting for inventory valuation, standard costing, inventory existence, bad debt reserves, back charge reserves, warranties, sales cutoff, GRNI, etc.
As a leader on OBE's accounting team, the Controller of Metal Processing and Projects will ensure OBE's accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently applied and in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This position requires strong communication and the ability to interact with several members of the accounting and finance team across the organization at varying levels. This position will need to be self-motivated with extensive US GAAP knowledge, process implementation and internal controls experience. This is a newly created position with the organization, and the Company's strategy (and this position) requires a change leader who is comfortable with being part of a team driving positive change and process improvement. This is a hybrid role, working from our Dallas Corporate Headquarters three times per week.
