Senior Land Surveyor (Project Management)
Perform field data collection and office data processing, as well as the management of data.
Perform quality control and quality assurance
Work with aerial, mobile, and static LiDAR datasets with cross-training into other mapping disciplines
Use of UAS Aerial Drones, Robotic Total Stations, Terrestrial LiDAR scanners, digital levels, photography, and other data collection tools and software
Ability to read and interpret drawings, topographic maps, and real property descriptions
Projects may include the use of hand tools, including a bush axe, machete, or sledgehammer
Occasionally travel out of town for up to two weeks at a time
Maintain supplies and equipment
Project management and follow-through of tasks
Scheduling and coordination across GPI departments
Proposal preparation and proposal development
Qualifications:
Licensed Delaware Surveyor or ability to obtain a license within 9 months is preferable
Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of experience
Project management and scheduling experience
Proposal preparation experience
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Knowledge of Geometry and Trigonometry
Experience in field surveying practices and procedures
Experience in drafting and reproduction methods
Experience in land recording and conveyance procedures
Background check and drug testing will be required for projects on Federal facilities
