Lab Assistant (Healthcare)
Grind and weigh small amounts of flower, concentrate and other types of samples for lab analysis.
Sample intake, label prep tubes and organize samples in timely fashion.
Take digital photos of samples and experimental results and upload into lab software.
Lab cleaning, chemical waste disposal, sample archiving and disposal.
Unpack and receive orders in organized fashion with relevant entries into the Lab Information Management System (LIMS).
Ensure workstation is kept clean of cannabis and chemical debris and ready for next user.
Serve as front desk admin support as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Attention to detail and well-organized.
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and complete required documents for internal and external use.
Experience in developing and implementing business policies and procedures.
Strong customer service skills.
Proficiency in multi-tasking.
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, customers and vendors.
Excellent communication skills
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
Minimum of (2) years in a lab or medical setting preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read technical procedures or lab documents as needed. Ability to effectively communicate and dialogue with other lab staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Familiarity with metric system and unit conversions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret technical instructions in various forms.
