We are looking for an Account Manager who is highly motivated, goal oriented and a strong communicator and succeeds in a fast-paced and competitive environment. Our Account Management team achieves margin and revenue growth, sets and maintains high standards of service and reliability and takes pride in their contributions. You will oversee every aspect of your clients' experience; everything from the fulfillment of a shipment to the long-term success of the partnership as well as prospect and on-board quality carriers to handle our growing volume of shipments. *Responsibilities*
Manage customers with historical freight; grow and expand relationships with them
Develop, Grow, and Expand new customers onboarded by the Sales Team
Collaborate with Sales Team to ensure that customer needs are understood and supported
Achieve new volume, gross profit $, and % goals, new lanes/location goals and account growth goals, as applicable
Oversee and train operations to assist with daily tasks
Carrier Vetting
Provide useful and timely updates during shipment lifecycles
Identify cross selling opportunities
Source capacity to meet customer needs
Assist with team to establish SOP's for Truckload Operations
Provide creative solutions for complex transportation situations as they arise
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Account Manager in truckload market.
Experience growing and managing a book of business.
Demonstrated client-facing management experience
Entrepreneurial and bold attitude paired with a confident personality
Proven ability to manage detail on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of truckload market, including all modes of transportation
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and follow-thru abilities.
Proactive problem-solving and negotiation aptitude.
