Sr. Human Resources Generalist (Human Resources)
Investigate and provide advice to supervisors and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee relations problems; work in consultation with senior management to resolve complex issues.
Identify best practices and organizational efficiencies as well as coach and train how to apply human resources policies and procedures.
Conduct research to determine the effectiveness of personnel programs and policies. Provide support to management on legal compliance, diversity and inclusion programs, staff development and risk management including training and documentation practices.
Develop and propose policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and Advise managers and employees on a variety of areas including employee relations, investigations, performance management, policy interpretation, compensation and benefits.
Assist in creating a performance appraisal process to ensure the appropriate, fair and equitable process is followed, and is an exchange with goals for professional growth.
Assist and oversee talent management, recruitment and staffing including creation of new positions and job descriptions. Conduct exit interviews with departing employees.
Partner with hiring management to create comprehensive New Hire and Onboarding programs.
Build and strengthen company culture in alignment with company values and goals.
Develop and nurture effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Support the company with compliance in federal, state, and local legal requirements by communicating, creating and maintaining systems for documentation. Communicate changes in organizational policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
Design and establish employee development programs, such as continued education, job architecture/career pathing and mentorship. Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff and management development.
Work closely with management and employees to engage staff, improve work relationships, build morale and increase retention.
Annually review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organizations policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
Consult with legal counsel as appropriate on personnel matters.
Provide high quality customer service and contribute to a strong customer service culture.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree preferred and at least three years relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred
Knowledge and experience in employee relations, employment and labor law, compensation, recruitment, training and development, performance coaching and organizational development.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and influencing skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver formal presentations or training.
Must be flexible and able to excel in a continuously changing environment.
Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity about people and organization issues.
Effective communicator and listener with very strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently.
Ability to create and maintain strong, professional relationships at various levels of organization.
