Job Summary

Develop analysis of Market Related Pricing (MRP) agreements and report to management in the Supply & Marketing Economic Review Committee (SMERC). Recommend and implement pricing structures for each individual customer accounts ensuring they remain competitive while maximizing profitability. Evaluate existing and new Light Oil Marketing (LOM) Programs on an individual and total program basis considering cost/benefit and competitive programs. Direct the development, maintenance, and utilization of various analytical models used by LOM personnel. Coordinate development of forecasts and conduct analyses in support of the approved LOM Budget and MTP. Evaluate strategies, tactics, and plans for product sales including truck rack branded and unbranded gasoline, ULSD, heating oil, and turbine fuel. Conduct economic evaluations using key metrics such as product distribution cost, ratability, margins, contract volume compliance, pos compliance, premium percentages etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• SAP
• Power BI competency
• Excel and Data Analysis Skill
• Must be able to work with big dataset
• Product Supply, Light Oil Marketing, or Pricing background is a help in this position
• Minimum years of job-related experience required is: A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of job-related experience or if no degree, 9 years of job-related experience

Job Duties

Develop analysis of MRP agreements that quantifies our projected profitability for presentation to and evaluation by SMERC. Work with the LOM Region Sales Managers to develop acceptable MRP agreements and strategies to be applied to the market. Use economics developed to defend MRP economic analysis to SMERC, AVP Light Oils Operations and VP of Supply & Marketing. Determine profitability of sales by product ensuring all marketing costs are considered (additives, program costs, upfront cash amortizations, etc)

Direct development, maintenance, and proper utilization of the Custom Competitive Allowance Agreement within MRP structure. These tools are essential to optimal implementation of the marketing strategies. The Branding Model is used by all field sales staff at CITGO to compare the relative financial benefits of branding alternatives among customers and markets. Provide custom models that allow Sales team to evaluate different sales options for go to market within each of their territories.

Evaluate Marketing strategies and plans for product sales which includes reviewing existing and new Marketing Programs on an individual and total program basis considering cost/benefit and competitive programs. Determine whether the program structure is optimal. Compare CITGO programs to competitor programs from customer benefit and supplier cost standpoints. Determine whether 1) program cost/benefit/risk is acceptable and 2) possible to achieve same results at lower cost or with different programs. Make recommendations on improving or restructuring programs.

Conduct economic evaluations for LOM use of, purchase, sale and expansion of terminal and pipeline assets. Develop and maintain reports that track profitability using key metrics including product distribution cost, ratability, margins, contract volume compliance, pos compliance, premium percentages etc

Manage development of contracts with Legal while keeping management abreast of profitability via post-audit monitoring and suggest when agreements need to be changed. Customers with market related pricing agreements are an important and growing part of CITGO's go-to-market strategy.
