Your Next Career Opportunity – Manager, Site Acquisition

Manage the site acquisition process for new antenna sites, including: Approval of suppliers for site acquisition services; Monitor the delivery and quality of the site documentation sent by site acquisition contractors and specialists and track permitting processes on a site-by-site basis; Interface regularly with the Permitting, Legal, and Construction departments to ensure proper diligence on and inspection of sites being developed; Manage human resources assigned to site acquisition; Participate in follow-up meetings internally and with MNOs and prepare progress and indicator presentations; Manage the execution of defined schedules and processes.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for the standardization and implementation of site acquisition process. 
• Manage and support site acquisition team. 
• Supervise the timely delivery of documentation and monitor both quality and accuracy. 
• Lead internal team coordination efforts as well as client follow-ups. 
• Ensure the quality of leases secured are in line with SBA requirements.
• Manage the process of amending or correcting leases rejected by the Legal.
• Manage the process of obtaining the necessary approvals and permits to build a telecommunication base station.
• Ensure SBA South Africa receives accurate permits and approvals to build a site at a desired location.
• Manage activities of employees, consultants and contractors in performing site acquisition services.
• Track regional targets and perform corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and provincial government authorities.
• Manage costs and budgets
• Manage and process all invoices submitted by site acquisition and permitting consultants.
• Manage and delegate landlord complaints and requests.
• Management of site acquisition and permitting consultants
• Manage the performance of consultants and contractors to ensure the timely compilation and submission of applications and communicate any issues from property team to management or vice versa.
• Identify new revenue streams which can be exploited.
• Identify and complete the due diligence on possible Mergers and Acquisitions opportunities.

What You'll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate's Degree Bachelor's Degree preferred; and 3-5 years experience on site acquisition, permitting and municipal by-laws. Experience in the Telecom industry, preferred
  • and 1 year experience in management of a small team required.
