*Research Technician (Information Technology)
Because of the ever-progressing research and in coming grant endeavors, expected by our Neuroscience Program in the Department of Neurosurgery, as well as rapidly growing need for implementation of electrophysiological methodologies to study neurodevelopmental disorders, gait clinical analysis and traumatic brain injury research program, a dedicated Research Technician both in preclinical mouse models and in human participants, is needed. The primary responsibilities of the Research Technician will be to support researchers in maintaining animal colony, performing cellular and molecular studies including tissue collection, tissue sectioning (cryostat, vibratome), immunohistochemistry.
Provides assistance to a research staff by conducting simple research experiments, collecting data and samples, keeping records, conducting literature searches, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
Duties:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or other health related field.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months equivalent experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree.
