What are we looking for?

The Geotechnical Project Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of assignments that include independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures and criteria using judgement to make minor adoptions and modifications of these standards.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and review Engineering reports, project plans and specifications prepared by others.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Prepare proposals to provide professional services.
• Review recommendations with Principal Consultant.
• Attend client site meetings, maintain and leverage client relationships and develop new project opportunities.
• Work on one or multiple projects at a time.
• Train Technicians and other Technical staff.
• May work both in field and laboratory, performing on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited/ABET school
• 5+ years' Geotechnical Experience
• Clear understanding of Geotechnical Engineering principles
• 5+ years' Experience working for a Geotechnical Engineering firm with design understanding
• EIT certification or successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed
• May travel up to 25% of time

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering
• PE License
