Overview The Field Medical Affairs Trainer is responsible for the strategic deployment of comprehensive training programs for the Field Medical Affairs (FMA) team, consisting of program development and regular strategic refinement. This role ensures that the Field Medical Affairs team is equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to support the medical strategy and deliver best-in-class medical interactions. The FMA Trainer will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to track the impact of training initiatives, track continuous improvement, refine training programs based upon relevant insights and key strategic changes, and enhance the MSL culture through the establishment of a recognition program. Responsibilities
Develop and optimize deployment of onboarding curriculum as well as all other education/training programs for FMA. Conduct ongoing learning needs assessments and create training curricula for therapeutic areas (TA) and non-therapeutic areas (nonTA). Monitor training results and communicate impact and opportunities.
Ensure that medical-to-medical content supports strategy, is fit for purpose, engaging, and up to date.
Leadership and administration of the FMA learning models, programs and management system(s).
Support Field Team Leaders (TL) with Medical Science Liaison (MSL) coaching and mentoring.
Strategic planning and project management for FMA training materials and tools.
Oversee vendors and internal personnel for training program design and rollout.
Partner with headquarters (HQ) to contribute to the medical strategy.
Lead the medical insights process to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and communicate areas of refinement to Medical Affairs Leadership.
Provide oversight to ensure all training and field activities comply with regulatory and company standards.
Monitor and support continuous improvement of the MSL team and cross-functional collaboration. Ensure MSL team support and contributions are maximized and recognized. Collaborate with commercial operations.
Partner with Medical Operations Excellence to develop and improve the MSL live activity metric dashboard, KPIs, and impact metrics.
Partner with Medical Affairs Leadership & HR to develop a Field Medical Affairs team recognition plan. Align the plan to company and function values, cultivate a culture of appreciation, and regularly review to address any gaps or concerns.
Contribute to applicable asset development; collaborate with Medical Communications. Presents data on product/therapeutic area.
Minimum Job RequirementsQualifications
Master's Degree required.
PharmD, PhD, or EdD in a health sciences field preferred.
5-7 years in Field Medical Affairs, including experience in the MSL role, required.
Experience in adult education/training highly preferred.
Experience in Medical Affairs curricula or equivalent medical curricula development and delivery preferred.
Experience in GNI or COVID therapeutic areas highly preferred.
Ability to track and measure training impact and performance metrics.
Experience in navigating medical compliance and regulatory standards required.
Previous experience in infectious diseases preferred; AMR and COVID-19 experience preferred.
Experience creating field medical training, medical communication and stakeholder engagement resources.
Ability to advise on the development, optimization and execution of MSL territory plans.
Demonstrated experience in cross-functional project leadership and collaboration.
Proven track record of establishing, maintaining and enhancing effective and successful relationships with KOLs in appropriate therapeutic areas.

Other Requirements
Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel.
Demonstrates clinical, scientific, and technical knowledge within infectious diseases or respiratory diseases preferred but not required.
Understands the pharmaceutical industry and business strategies.
Knowledgeable on current regulatory guidelines to ensure corporate compliance in all activities, including those related to scientific interactions, unsolicited questions, clinical trials and pharmaceutical research.
Behaves in an ethical and professional manner, adhering to the company's guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Must live within a commutable distance to a large airport.
Driving in a safe manner to required meetings and appointments.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a complete background check.
Must have valid licenses and credentialing required to conduct business in assigned territory. Additional InformationThe base salary range for this full-time, field-based position is $180,000-$240,000. Individual pay is determined by several factors, which include but are not limited to: job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The range does not include the comprehensive benefits, vehicle allowance, bonus, long-term incentive, or any additional compensation that may be associated with this role.
