POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, a positive attitude and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Golf Course Maintenance This role will be responsible for ensuring the course is in optimal playing condition, including mowing, trimming, and edging fairways, greens, and roughs, as well as assisting with irrigation and maintaining equipment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Mowing and Trimming:

  • Mowing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs to specified heights. 
  • Trimming and edging cart paths, curbs, trees, and other areas. 

• Irrigation and Watering:

  • Assisting with the irrigation and watering of the golf course to maintain healthy grass and plant life. 

• Bunker Maintenance:

  • Raking, trimming, and maintaining bunkers. 

• General Maintenance:

  • Maintaining yardage markers, flags, cups, and other course features. 
  • Keeping sand traps in good condition. 
  • Maintaining sprinkler systems. 

• Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

  • Operating and maintaining various pieces of equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other machinery. 
  • Performing basic maintenance and repairs on equipment. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Applying disease inhibitors and growth enhancers to grass. 
• Dealing with golfer complaints. 
• Assisting with other tasks as directed by supervisors. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Credentials

• High School or Equivalent
• A two-year degree or certificate in turf management, agronomy, horticulture, plant science, or soil science is preferred or A one-year certificate from a technical school or college in areas like equipment maintenance can be beneficial.
• Active Driver's License Required

Experience

• This position requires at least one year of experience on a golf course (Preferred).
• Experience using lawn equipment.
• Basic understanding of the game of golf.
• Must be able to drive a golf cart.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position requires standing and walking for extended periods.

Golf Course Maintenance works in all properties owned by Rivers Edge Golf. Job duties may require daily travel between locations on the property.

During busy seasons, they are under pressure to maintenance the course quickly and efficiently. Hours may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
