Administrative Assistant (Administrative)
The ideal candidate will be organized and detail oriented with excellent communication and customer service skills. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be computer literate and have the ability to become proficient with all computer software used at our office (Word, Excel, Dockmaster, Office365, Google, etc.).
The Administrative Assistant will be stationed at our Kittery office to assist with our busy marina season. Basic boat/marine knowledge a plus, but not required. Must have a valid driver's license.
Position is part time (35 hr/week) and seasonal (May 1 - August 31, 2025). Hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm M-F with half hour lunch break. No benefits. Potential for development into full time, year-round position for the right candidate.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Answering incoming phone calls and routing to correct person or taking a detailed message; greeting walk-in customers and assisting them as needed
Reviewing/editing employee labor cards daily; distribution of daily labor report to all managers
Assisting all managers and office personnel as needed
Keeping the office and member lounge neat & orderly
Other duties as assigned by manager
Providing excellent customer service
Developing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with staff, members, guests and dealing with conflict effectively, courteously, and tactfully
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
Technical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior marina experience preferred
Previous customer service experience required
