ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
USF Health is a regional branch of the University of South Florida that houses the academic medical center comprised of Morsani College of Medicine, College of Public Health, Taneja College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing and School of Physical Therapy. Central Human Resources (CHR) consists of multiple areas of expertise including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Classification & Compensation; Employee and Labor Relations; Continuous Process Improvement, HRIS, HR Business Partners and Talent and Learning Management. USF Human Resources is embarking on a multi-year transformation focused on a Human Resources strategy that elevates our people so that the University and culture support a competitive workforce advantage in line with our strategic plan USF Health Office of Human Resources strategically partners with CHR to provide services, programs and support to USF Health team members while fostering a positive work culture, one in which employees collaborate with one another, feel comfortable sharing their concerns with management, and feel appreciated for their important work in an ideal environment for reducing employee turnover and encouraging collaboration.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Jr HR Business Partner is directly associated with the HR embedded shared services model and provides day-to-day support to managers and employees on a wide variety of human resources related matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides support to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies, goals, and objectives.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Leads, creates, and/or supports project initiatives and deliverables.
Participates in employee orientations and organizational development, workforce, or succession planning, training, or performance management strategies as developed by the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Associate's degree -OR- equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one (1) year of related HR experience -OR- HR Internship experience.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
Two years of direct experience for an associate degree.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Oral and written communication skills.
Ability to build collaborative relationships.
Decision-making skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Interpersonal skills and judgment.
