Engineering Technician (Finance)

Position Summary:

Hunt Valve Company has been manufacturing shipboard valves for naval customers for decades. The company, now part of Fairbanks Morse Defense, is rapidly growing and in need of a technician to support the engineering department. This position would directly support the engineering team in day-to-day activities to ensure work product is organized and is retained with high quality. Hunt offers a unique working environment that allows a hands-on individual to develop and grow as the company expands its footprint and maintains high performance as a trusted defense contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing and tracking work product for engineering and related departments (e.g., drawings, vendor and customer submittals, etc.)
• Interfacing with peer departments within company to help manage engineering support for emergent issue resolution.
• Database entry for action tracking as well as customer submittals
• Supporting individual engineering support requests wit

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• College experience is welcome

Experience:

• 0-5 years of experience in an office environment

Required Skills :

• Attention to detail; quality of work product is #1
• Maintaining a professional attitude through oral and written communication
• Ability to take lead on tasks and drive actions to closure without continuous monitoring by supervisor
• Strong work ethic, a "self-starter"

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with database tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and/or other electronic management tools
• Familiarity with mechanical drafting, and/or drafting software such as Solidworks
