Responsibilities:
• Lead accountant for the accounting life cycle of assigned contracts/projects.
• Project initiation, maintenance, and closeout in Oracle.
• Responsible for issuing invoices in accordance with contract terms, calculating and entering cost and revenue adjustments resulting from change orders, project financial reviews, and final close. Post invoices, credits, and adjustments into Oracle.
• Prepare project cost, revenue, unbilled/unearned reconciliations, and analyses.
• Support both internal and external audits.
• Prepare and provide a variety of reports and analytical support to project managers and management.
• Serve as contact for selected clients on collection of accounts receivable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills

• Four or more years of experience in project accounting for federal and/or commercial contracts in a professional services or construction environment.
• Oracle experience desired but not mandatory
• Advanced spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Excel and proficiency using other Microsoft Office Applications.
• Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
• Project billing required.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Government cost plus, fixed price, and time-and materials contracts and invoicing experience desired.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and contractual documents. Ability to present data, information, evaluations and conclusions both in documents and orally. Ability to speak effectively with other employees, management and clients.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must have mathematical and analytical skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
OTHER SKILLS:
Include other skills desirable for the position. For example, Computer Skills, Microsoft Windows - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
