As part of this journey, we have restructured into two functions; Relationship Management ("ExRM") and Expense Management Technology (“eTech”). The Relationship Management Team will serve as the single point of contact for expense-related interactions with stakeholders and leaders, support Enterprise-level expense analysis for senior leader discussions, help drive full adoption of automated reporting and analysis and be the strategic advisor to functional areas and businesses.
We are hiring for the role of Vice President, Planning and Analysis with our ExRM organization. This individual will report to the Head of Expense Relationship Management. This is a key leadership position that supports the reporting of consolidated expenses to senior leaders at Prudential, developing a comprehensive view of expenses, forecasts, targets to enable meaningful insights and strategic decision making. This individual will also provide meaningful and actionable analytics on Global Technology-related expenses across the US Businesses, Corporate Functions as well as Prudential's International regions.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Lead for consolidated reporting and analytics for all expenses.
Lead for consolidated reporting of the multi-year Global Technology budget/forecast.
Collaborate with the eTech organization to develop automated reports and dashboards that result in create clear and concise management presentations to ensure key messages are captured in a simple and transparent way and action steps are well defined to enable swift decision-making.
Develop presentations for senior leadership of Prudential, including monthly Operating Comittee meetings and Board slides.
Support quarterly financial reporting, including identification of key trends across the Enterprise.
Support the ongoing monitoring and adherence to expense targets.
Develop and articulate an in-depth understanding of expense drivers.
Complete ad hoc requests from various corporate and business partners.
Willingness to roll up sleeves and navigate through areas that may not be in direct line of responsibility to transform strategy into action.
Flexibility to lean into change and transformation.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in Planning and Business Analysis required.
Experienced leader with ability to develop talent and successfully lead through times of change.
Excellent collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across the organization and influence a diverse set of stakeholders.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to translate complex financial topics into easily digestible messages and clear, actionable decision points.
Excellent analytical skills with strong ability to synthesize a lot of information, problem solve and drive results in a highly matrixed environment.
Discretion to deal with confidential information is required.
Agile and organized, structure-oriented individual with ability to appropriately prioritize and juggle many competing deliverables.
Ability to proactively anticipate issues, provide recommendations, and communicate key issues at the right level at the right time.
Ability to apply knowledge of company objectives, key business drivers and financial acumen to evaluate business performance and contribute to operational efficiencies and strategic decision-making.
Embodies a continuous improvement mindset, with ability to proactively identify, analyze, and improve upon existing processes for optimization and to meet new deadlines or standards of quality.
Fosters an environment to identify opportunities to leverage technology to complete tasks more efficiently and effectively.
Flexibility and Adaptability. This role may evolve over time and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and ability to pivot to support the success of the Global Technology organization and the Finance team.
Sense of urgency. Priorities may require quick turn-around for senior preview and presentations. The successful candidate will manage expectations, while being able to deliver quality senior level materials in short windows.
