Overview
The Data Scientist will leverage both statistical methods and advanced AI/ML techniques to transform complex data into actionable insights and critical information. By integrating data analysis, machine learning algorithms, and advanced data visualization methods, the data scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive informed decision-making and enhance operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and understand expected outcomes, generating hypotheses to guide AI/ML model development.
-Assist in developing project plans that align with business objectives, ensuring clarity and communication of project timelines and milestones.
-Perform data preparation tasks, including extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) large and diverse datasets to facilitate model training and analysis.
-Design and implement machine learning experiments
-Validate model performance and ensure data integrity by conducting thorough testing and validation, documenting results throughout the Machine Learning Development Life-cycle.
-Support the deployment of AI/ML models into production environments
-Communicate results clearly and effectively to stakeholders, presenting insights in a way that is easily interpretable and actionable.
-Participate in team meetings, providing updates on project progress, model performance, and insights derived from data analyses.
-Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
-Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
-Maintain regular and punctual attendance
-Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
-Must have effective oral and written communication skills
-Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
-Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
Qualifications
Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Experience in developing and applying AI/ML techniques for simulation, optimization, and predictive modeling through projects, internships or professional experience.
- Familiarity with large datasets and databases.
- Proficiency in Python, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Basic understanding of distributed computing and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of Agile SCRUM methodology and a collaborative mindset.
Physical Requirements:
- General office environment
- Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and communicate.
