JOB SUMMARY
Works independently under general supervision to process and/or interpret castings through the NDI departments using gauges, devices, or software to evaluate indications complying with established written procedures.
NDI operator may not move for two (2) years unless movement is a promotion within the department.
Pay increases within this job classification are determined by earning various certifications in the following skill areas: Level 1 skills in FPI and/or X-ray, Level 2 skills in FPI or X-ray. Pay increases from Base to Max pay as operator's earn certifications; operator must be certified in a Level 2 skill to receive Max pay
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Employee is required to execute the following:
• Constant pushing, pulling, and twisting when retrieving and moving various items.
• Lifting floor-to-waist and carrying items with two hands.

• Be able to finger press, use a keyboard, mouse, and tolerate hand/arm vibration.

• Must pass Jaeger 1 vision test annually for depth perception when setting mold position.
• Work requires constant concentration and alertness when inspecting castings.
• Work requires physical effort including constant standing and lifting.

2. Training:
• Minimum OJT hours must be met for each method/technique that the individual is certifying for.
• Radiation Safety Training- If required
• Robot Safety-If required
• Combustible Dust
• Flammable/Combustible Liquids & Compressed gasses
• Machine Guarding.

• Classroom training
• NDI operators must pass certification examinations consisting of multiple tests per method and technique.

• Various computer software and devices
4. Work Environment: (Chemical and Physical Exposures)
• Inspection is performed in a dark, air-conditioned room.
• Exposure to ultra-violet light.
