Must be able to enter tanks through man way and paint inside of tanks as required.
Proper usage and maintenance of respiratory equipment
Mixing and thinning of coatings per manufacturing recommendations including poly, enamel and zinc.
Safe and proper sealing and storage of unused coating.
Cleaning of painting equipment with proper disposal of all material(s) used in the cleaning process.
Replenishing of paint in pressure pots.
Verification of adequate coverage of coating on finished products including using a mil gage.
The proper completion of applicable paperwork associated with this classification.
Must be able to take measurements and understand effect of humidity, dew point, etc. to ensure adequate preparation of tanks.
Material handling – operation of cranes, hoists, rolls and forklifts as needed. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
Knowledge of and compliance with all safety and environmental requirements regarding coatings, their application and disposal.
Work with foreman and safety director to ensure all safety and environmental regulations are followed.
Knowledge of Global Harmonization System.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications as they relate to finishing Steel Fab products.

Must be able to complete a product with a good finish including no runs, orange peel, etc.
Job may require handling or moving of hazardous waste.

Handle or move waste or waste containers

Operate a waste-generating process
Manage waste in satellite areas

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
Paint Spray Guns and related hardware
Respirator and other personal safety equipment
Pressure pots / Agitator mechanisms
All applicable pneumatic and electric power tools and Mill thickness gauge
All applicable hand tools
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Good oral communication skills, 1 year experience in a like environment, or a minimum of 1 year post high school education in a related field.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret receiving related documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence related to receiving. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, and geometry.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
