Vendor Relations Manager (Sales)
Job Summary
Oversee and manage a portfolio of pharmaceutical vendors to obtain best financial and operational position between both companies. Serve as primary liaison between vendor and Medline for those vendors. Develop and grow new business with sales and marketing teams.Job Description
Responsibilities:
Negotiate contracts, agreements and terms with vendors to achieve improved financial position, and implementation of Medline standard processes. Types of agreements include but are not limited to; Distribution Agreements, Operational Efficiency Agreements, and Transportation Agreements.
Understand market dynamics and build collaborative relationships with vendors to develop, sell, and implement marketing programs designed to sell more profitable products and deliver value and savings to Medline customers and sales reps.
Communicate and maintain vendor scorecards and manage vendor relationships towards achieving top level performance.
Perform as the escalation point for all functional areas in the distribution division working with the vendor to problem solve and mediate through challenges and opportunities they arise.
Plan and attend business reviews with vendors, healthcare industry and trade show events.
Respond to vendor related questions or issues for quick resolution. Demonstrate portfolio ownership by creating and defending strategies with sound judgement and analytics
Provide insights and tactics across portfolio and supply chain to achieve cost savings and margin goals.

Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree minimum, Pharmacist license or Nursing degree preferred
At least 4 years of contract negotiations, marketing, product management or sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office with a strong focus in Excel and Word (for example: creating pivot tables, using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts, prices, resolving service issues and/or reconciling differences.
Distribution operations or general healthcare market experience.
